Gun n00b question.
as far as pure speed goes, what is the fastest handgun bullet on the market?
this is regardless or efficiency and lack of power. just speed.
>>33541220
Probably a rifle caliber handgun, but 5.7 or that cz pistol is more what your looking for
>>33541220
Yugo 7.62x25 is pretty fast for an old caliber design
>>33541220
Is that gun out yet? I feel like everyone was talking about it not too long ago, then I heard that it was approved for sale in the US, and then it all went silent. What's the status on this thing?
>>33541260
This.
Also, that's not a CZ.
That is a FK BRNO
>>33541301
Haven't figured out how to make the barrels last more than one range trip.
>>33541260
This. .223 ar pistol.
Or 5.7meme
>>33541301
It's like 7 grand, so no one wants one.
>>33541301
They're going to jew you hard for it, so nobody wants to buy one.
Isn't it the Five-Seven ?
>>33541301
the 7.5 FK BRNO costs about $7.5k, no joke
they hyped it up hard but no one's gonna buy this over something cooler, and you can get a lot of cool shit with almost 8 grand
.22 TCM

Carbine version when
>>33541220
You need to specify a barrel length for this question to be answerable anon.

An*

Given how high my hopes were for this thing, I'm actually kind of upset about this. Well, it'll teach'em what you get when you overcharge for a brand-new thing when everyone's already comfortably settled on an existing product. Maybe they'll bring the price down before they go broke.
>>33541220
Are we going to count the .460 S&W Magnum? Some factory loads can achieve 2300FPS.
>>33541220
.17 HMR comes in revolvers, so probably that.
Has anyone made a pistol in .204 Ruger? That round can get up to over 4000ft/sec out of a rifle
>>33541220
I could be wrong, but I think the current holder of the title of highest velocity handgun cartridge is .460 S&W Magnum.
If you mean started as a handgun round 460 s&w is up there.
>>33542453
This, RIA has a 9MM/22TCM combo.
>>33541220
>what is the fastest handgun bullet on the market?
Depends anon. Handguns include 16" contenders. So, a 22/250, for example, out of a contender is going to be pretty damn fast. As its been mentions the 5.7 is fast, but you wont get that caliber/speed out of a revolver. Sticky cases aside, the 22 Jet was quite fast in the day for a revolver.
>>33545871
>I could be wrong
you are.
>>33545971
What is it then?
>>33545502
Is that the EargesplittenLoudenboomer?
>>33545477
There are 10mm loads going 2600fps.
>>33541281
More like MagSafe JHPs. 2100+fps.
>>33546080
Not at all
The fastest purely handgun round (not a rifle round coming out of a handgun) is .460 S&W, IIRC
This stuff is pretty quick
>>33546708
>60gr
The power of 22mag in 10mm, what a great concept
>>33546565
>The fastest, IF

And laughable sectional density
>>33542544
this.
>>33546551
La mas
>>33546551
Whoops, you're right.
It's only 2400 fps
>>33541301
This is relatively recent.
