I had a kid like this in my religion class in college.
Obviously autistic and was there to just look good in grey sweatpants the whole day. This super hot chick who was also in a few other of my classes would always give me eyes when he started talking out of turn and interrupting the lecture to put in his convoluted opinion. Even going as far one day as to yell to him from the middle of the class 'oh my god please shut up so we can finish this topic, it's important' and that did not stop him.

Had one of these in my philosophy 102 a few years ago. Last I've seen of it though.

Kid was every ounce of the fedora stereotype, but didn't actually wear one, at least not to class. Since it was philosophy the professor did the best he could to dignify and later tolerate his spouting, even as he derailed the lecture or conversation every 5 minutes. Felt pretty bad for him by the time the semester was up. Incident I remember most was some end-of-class advisory about movie night for a philosophy club on campus. The simple advisory turned into a 20 minute tirade on how they obviously needed to watch Dr. Strangelove. The professor asked why that movie, hoping for some analytic case, and was met by a wall of "because".

I do not miss that class.

I usually used the analogy of an automatic transmission vs a manual one, bearing in mind that the cylinder automatically rotates to a new chamber for every trigger pull.
