Can anyone identify what kind of knife is this? I know the sheath is Vietnam era but i can't find any picture of a knife with this handle.
The handle looks like the new German G36 bayonet, but it doesn't have a muzzle ring or the same blade profile.
The bayonet looks like either an M5A1 or M8A1 Can't remember which it is exactly. One of those designations refers to that sheath. I know because I own one of those for my bayonet and sheath for my Garand
The handle appears to be German or Austrian, the blade appears to be British and the Scabbard American.
Fascinating.
Sorry I meant the scabbard / shealth was that designation. I could be wrong but it looks extremely similiar. I'm not sure what the knife is.
As someone who ownes a vietnam era m7 bayo in an m10 sheath I can tell you it isn't from late vietnam. Maybe very early, but they adopted black sheaths early on if I'm not mistaken

What kind of jacket is that? Gorka?

Yup, gorka 2. My go to for /k/amping. It's comfy af and I can wear like 4 layers underneath it

Looks like an Eickhorn KCB77 pigsticker top me. Look on the blade and see if you can see the letter AES in individual hexagons

i don't see any AES but the knife is almost identical so i sure that's what it is

>canteen directly in the center of the back

Even weight distribution to counter the weight of the mags. It's not as hard to get to as you'd think since you can just undo one snap to pull the canteen out.
