A lot of them are garbage-tier and tread all over the Christians, Yazidis, Alawites, etc. Word is some Syrian Sunni Kurds forcibly disarmed several villages of Christians and Yazidis back in 2014. They got their shit pushed in by IS and in turn the Christians and Yazidis got fucked when the Kurds just tucked tail and ran. I don't think Kurds are really great fighters; I think they're just not as spectacularly shit as Sunni Arabs are, which makes them seem heads and tails better, but against even an occasionally modestly competent force like IS (or any Ba'athist organized force), Kurds have major problems.
