What's the furthest distance that you'd ever shot at a target and hit it?
>>33521574
The Earth. Most bullets. A long way.
depends. does the target have to be intentional?
>>33521574
A mere 400 metres with an RK62. Never had the chance to shoot further than that. No such ranges in the area and no private land.
>>33521602
Yes.
>>33521574
Little over a mile.
400 m with PKT
>>33521574
280m AK74
First time I fired a rifle in my life, I hit the target with every shot out of 5 I was given.
Everyone was surprised including me.
I was pretty proud of myself. I just read how to control breath and how to squeeze the trigger in some magazine earlier.
>>33521574
1100 yards
984yds on a 10" disk first shot, 308
>>33522616
10" disk with a .308 at that range is pretty impressive. Well done
>>33521574
The longest was about 1300yds granted it was one of those huge 1000 yard targets. Like the one this lad is kneeling next to.
I've never really tested. I'm a poorfag, so I have an AR, a Mauser and a .22. I consistently hit 20" targets at 500 yards with irons with my AR. But I'm also young and still have good eyes.
>>33521574
I would did shot the furthest target I shot at, bout 100 yards with a handgun.
124 yards with my revolver using .357 magnum.
It's also the only gun I own.
300 yards, with a Winchester 94 in 30-30. Had a really high hold though.
Antalope at 600+- yrds. 30.06 with leopold 3.5x10. 180 grn boattail. Lunged it. Droped in 50 yrds
i shot at the moon once. pretty sure i heard a ping.
Steel Silhouette at 300yds with a Tikka T3 in .308.
25 yards; only been to indoor range so far.
Clay pigeon on a earthen berm at 400 yards with a 24" bull barrel AR and some giant goddam scope on top. Owner let me try it out before he left the range.
>>33525905
Same. Got lucky with a direct bullseye from 25m with a Glock 17
coyote at 768 meters with rem 783 in 308
>>33521574
Personal record is 1.5 moa at 1000yds.
From a bench.
I am comfortable at 500 on deer>>33521602
>>33521574
6 parsecs
600 yards, steel plate, yugo m59/66
The rifle is accurate enough to do it consistently.
>>33521574
500m with my Guide gun in 45-70
Irons.
>>33521574
1760 yards with my stepfather fifty cal. 4 shots with a 7 inch group and one shot at a robin roughly 200 yards downrange.
>>33521574
100yds with nugget. I don't have a spotting scope or anything to measure yardage so I went to a football field and measured how many steps for 20yds and did the math. Good thing there was a father/son combo testing out their durr rifles at the innawoods spot that said their target was 100yds so I just put mine at the same distance.
>>33527145
>7" group from a mile away
I don't believe you.
>>33521574
400 Yards with my Gew 98, ironically I cant hit shit with the same gun at 100
>>33521574
With a rifle I've owned it's 1372 yards.
With other peoples' shit I've landed hits at 2500 yards.
>tfw cannot justify a Cheytac or .416 Barrett
600 yards on a 18" wide steel plate with my AR, using a 4x ACOG, pretty easy really.
Hit the same plate at 200 yards with my Glock 19, although that was a lucky guess on the holdover.
>>33521574
For practical shooting, pic related with a 16" AR using 62 grain Hog hammers on a large doe. Lung hit, to point of aim with a 9 power scope.
I have a more apropos gun for durr now, but I didn't actually get to shoot it at anything this seasons.
There are no ranges that go past ~140 yards near me, so the only time I get to shoot further than that is when I am hunting. Even then, kind of rare to need to take that long of a shot.
>>33527220
Stepfather pulls 2 inch groups, mother pulls 3 inch groups. I'm a shitty shot compared to them, but it's all bench fired under perfect conditions and their guns are geared for accurate long range shooting. There are a lot of people that are better shots than me, I just got lucky and had the equipment already set up for me.

1100 meters, Parker-Hale Whitworth volunteer. One of the best days of my life.
>>33521574
Do cruise missiles count?
>>33528605
Most of these faggots went to bed, I say it does.
>>33528605
Self guided bullets do take some skill out of the equation. But sure, why not.
>>33521574
2770 meters
300 yards.
>>33521574
100 yards is the longest at any range I've been too.
M16, 300 yards, ironsights, windy day, one of the best feels in the world.
>>33528752
Holy shit, with what and what were you shooting at?
>>33521574
1000 yards. And that shit is easy.
>>33528788
M4 500 Yards incoming typhoon heavy rain 3 out of 5 shots in the V ring. FIGJAM my niggah
>>33521819
Things that never happened.
>>33521574
200 yrds large coke from mcdicks with wasr
>>33521574
Just 100 yards. No long range rifle ranges near me. -_-
>>33531199
Oh. Forgot. Hitting coke cans and tennis balls with Romanian M1969 22lr trainer at 100 yards.
>>33521574
400 yards, mostly with ak style irons but some scope use too. ~14in targets are just big enough to work with out there. If it was much smaller I'd have a hard time seeing them well enough to use irons.
700 yds with nugget and irons at a black elk silhouette on light sand. Totally by luck, I'm not that good. Still felt cool
About 131477250 ft
>>33521590
FPBP
>>33521574
100 yard
My range doesn't have any further targets and all other places to shoot are either hours away, always full, or require you know someone to get in.
>>33521574
In battlefield 3, 826 meters on a moving target. Headshot the the driver of a jeep on gulf of oman.
In real life 100 yards cuz thats the max distance at the only range near me .
350m with a scoped .308. at that time my scope mount and zero were pretty shit, and I want to go out and try it again, but around here there are very few options for long-range shooting. which means even if I did get a lot of practice at 350m, I really wouldn't need those skills for anything.
150m I my usual rifle practice distance
