yes they will. you've probably never seen a 12 gauge flare.

12 gauge flares have a recessed primer and will not fire from most shotguns.

Also, flares contain one white flare and three red flares. Shooting the white flare is fine, it's meant for testing and training. But DO NOT shoot red flares into the air, anywhere, especially near water, unless you're actually in distress.

they are stepped down to match a 12 gauge flaregun barrel, which narrows so as to not accept a 12 gauge shell. they are also pretty thick, what comes out is narrower than even a full choke. don't post about things you have no experience with.
