The handle looks, for lack of a better word, gross. The guard is also loose. I have shittons of leather that I could make a new handle with, to better press the guard against the blade. I didn't want to remove the original handle if it was actually worth anything, though.

Again, guys, I don't want to fuck with anything that's actually rare/valuable, even if it's in poor shape. This just looked like a knife that was bought from a surplus store for cheap and abused by some kid for years.
