Good for you, hun. London is surrounded by a government-protected greenbelt, and Houston is basically a strip of freeway.

Lots of cities have metropolitan areas that stretch for long ways outside the city lines, and you'd have to drive for an hour or more to even find a little bit of open space. And that doesn't include getting out of the city, which can take a long time if you don't live near the edges.

When I live in Seattle, it took 45 minutes to get out of town, and longer if it was rush hour.

Rush hour is from 0630 to 0900 in the morning and then again from 1530 to 1800 in the evening. God forbid it's raining or some fuckhead in an SUV tries taking control of the road and ends up crashing in the right lane, slowing traffic to a standstill.

To get from exit 175 to exit 150 (what most would consider to be out of the Seattle "area of effect") takes about 30 minutes in light traffic.

Find me an outdoor range within that area that the cops/forest rangers won't be on your ass.

Your best options for /outdoor/ ranges are the Duvall Pit (40 minutes from Shoreline) and Greenwater (1+ hr from SeaTac).

I drive this shit multiple times every week. So if you have any better outdoor ranges then by god tell me.
