Just want to live for a couple years in a fun place. Maybe learn to fish or kayak or some shit. I'm coming from the anti gun northeast so anything is better than here. Won't realy have much money for any fancy guns, just want to shoot a lot and cheap. Don't care about pawn shop rugers rusting.

You should at least visit a place before you decide to move to it. As a Florida fag id suggest mid Florida if you want shooting. Swampy as fuck, but people are nice enough and you are less likely to get swatted for shooting in your yard if you live outside city limits.

North west and central florida has some of what you're looking for, sans jobs. And basically just don't move to florida if you want tech related work.

But if you can find work on a government contract at one of the numerour military bases you should be fine.

I moved to Volusia County in 1986 from the UK and I've been based in Florida ever since.

I'm not the person to go to for cost of living (as I am old, well off and have nowhere else in the USA to compare it to), but it's a good lifestyle and I enjoy it. Keep up my running, swimming and cycling along with shooting. The only thing missing is skiing.
