It's a fine blaster but not precision. It's hard to compare because no, I don't have one in 5.56, and I don't have another .308 AR on hand to compare it to.

But it has three gas block settings (full, suppressed, off), which is neat for the price, and it's mostly based on the DPMS G2 pattern so parts are slightly less impossible to find.

Recoil FEELS less than it did on my old Mega MATEN from years ago, that thing was unpleasant to shoot. With the extra suppressor weight and suppressor setting, the AA is not bad at all.

I had one problem on the first day where a tiny chunk of brass got wedged in the locking lugs. That was annoying to clear out, but after that I haven't had a single hiccup or failure. Slow fire benchrest groups with FGMM 168gr are around 1.3 MOA, PPU 145gr is around 3 MOA. AA guarantees 1 MOA with match ammo, so clearly I'm not up to par with the very fat Strike Eagle reticle and medium magnification.

What I do not like is that the only free float handguard I can find which fits over the piston is the Samson Evolution, which are just terrible wobbly SHIT. It takes very little effort to bend these things off center, I've had them in the past and won't buy them again.

the area i posted is your best bet if you want to shoot innawoods and you're still learning the area. you can pretty much shoot anywhere in the woods if you have a earthen backstop and are not shooting over trails/roads/bodies of water.

In all honesty, it's surprisingly difficult to find good FDE fixed stocks. A1/A2 ones aren't commonplace besides one Leapers UTG A2 and a random web 1.0 site selling A1 stocks in multiple colors, and the Magpul MOE is not my taste. Magpul PRS is, and if I bought one I'd probably put my scope back on. But they're fuck expensive. If anyone has one let me know though.

Just buy A1 and do excellent prep job then rattle can it tan. multiple light coats.

Prep job involves following

-scruff and rough up the stock with rough sand paper
-de grease thoroughly
-air dry
-masterfully paint it
-patience as you let it dry for a week.
