Britfag weapons thread.

Two incidents. The 1988 hungerford shooting and the 1997 Dunblane shooting.
We can't have semi auto over .22lr although semi auto shotgun is fine. No pistols unless they have 12 inch barrel and an over all length of 24 inches.
Other than that no caliber restrictions and no mag limits. Barrels can be as short as 12 inches on rifles and police actively encourage use of silencers.
This my collection. Had my FAC for about 8 years now. Left to right.
AI AX308, LanTac straight pull .223 (now sold), m&p 15/22, benelli m2.

Shit that was a newer pic than expected. Second from left is actually my LMT 308 straight pull.

How much harder is it to get the FAC than the shotgun license
>>33465506
nice, what gun do you think i should get as my first?
>>33465519
Shotgun is easy. Just say you need it for clay pigeons. You still need all the other crap like secure cabinet.
Firearms is harder and you need to say why you want it. Pest control, sport shooting or something. The police will want to see proof you belong to a club or have permission to shoot on land.
Personally I shoot on my dads farm and belong to the NRA. I shooy at bisley with my brother every few months.
Where are you?
>>33465524
Shotgun license is easier to get hold of but if you can get an FAC then go for a ruger 10/22. Shit loads around, easy to use and cheap to shoot. Then go bigger.
>>33465524
With a shotgun certificate you can get a 3 shot semi or pump action. Good fun.
>>33465506
>semi auto shotgun is fine
You can get some pretty wicked semi-auto shotguns!
I sympathise being an Aussie, shits hard all over but our pistol laws are slightly more lenient than yours, but everything else is pretty much on par or more annoying than it should be :(

I live in rhondda in wales, anyone know any clubs around there.
>>33465577
There are quite a few clubs I'm sure. There are places were you can shoot across the valley at some pretty good distances.
>>33465561
The next problem is importing them. There a few saiga shotguns around. Other than that it's the more traditional kind. Love my benelli m2. Want a nova pump next.
My greener gp and sxs looking at getting a lee Enfield 410 conversion when I find one for sale
My brothers Enfield after he had it refurbished.

>Shotgun is easy. Just say you need it for clay pigeons
Remember the freemasons handshake when you get there.
I want my FAC but i have no where to put a gun cab, is there such a thing as storage away from home?
>>33466450
Some clubs will allow you to store it at the range. To be fair if a friend shoots you could keep it at theirs as long as you have a key. I kept mine at my parents for a long time.
>>33466475
My friends are all shut ins spending their lives complaining they're too old to do anything except complain.
I might take up clays and try to make some shooting friends that way.
>>33466487
Some clubs are fine with storage. If not discuss it with the police. You can get cheap gun safes easily.
>>33466487
Also, fuck them. Go shooting, make new, cooler friends.

Yorkshirefag with an SGC here
I have a Beretta SP O/U and a Benelli M2 2+1 it's-better-than-nothing semi-auto.
I'd get an FAC but 1. I don't have any land to shoot on atm and 2. I work Saturdays, so can't even get probationary membership at the local rifle range
I get by on clays and swords

>2 shotguns
>still more guns than 90% of /k/
norn iron here, pistols are a dime a dozen
