Does someone even sell replicas of this gun? I mean... it's beautiful. Too bad that only 176 of these got produced :^(

Nope. You can only experience it through anime and YouTube.
>>33463684
Yeah, airsoft exists.
>>33463684
weren't they just unwieldy pieces of shit as well? I remember an article or something about them not even being very accurate.

Ian Forgotten did a good episode on the WA2000, if anything it really made me respect the gun more.
>>33463761
It was actually quite accurate for the time, but as Ian mentioned in his video over it, it did things that with our 20/20 hindsight we would say "What?!" about, like not having a free floating barrel.
However, it was was one first precision firearms built that introduced things like an adjustable cheek rest, butt stock rotation, etc.
It is outclassed today by modern precision firearms, but it was among the first custom built for police and counter terror needs.

>youtube and anime only
I dont think so Tim
>>33463761
It's not an absolutely perfect firearm, but people like it because
>It's good enough
>It has an interesting design and history
>aesthetics
>more unobtainium than an SVD.
There are like 15 in the US and most of them are owned by Walther USA.

Realistically, your only option is to find an airsoft replica of the WA-2000.
ARES made a spring-powered WA-2000 airsoft replica that weighs roughly 15 pounds,
which is approximately the same as the real thing. It's a pretty damn good replica,
but they aren't easy to find and usually go for $500-$600.
A Nippon company by the name of Asahi also made an airsoft WA-2000 back in the early 90's,
but apparently it's one of the rarest and most expensive airsoft guns out there, so good luck with that.
They seem to go for around $3000, if you can find one.

>get a boner for WA2000 and Calico

You can still buy them fairly easily.
I'm guessing since you're asking though, you don't have the ~$190k to blow on it though.

get a psg, better gun anyways

Ironwood Designs makes a WA2000 conversion kit for Ruger 10/22s. They also make a wooden AUG conversion kit for 10/22s as well. Stupidly overpriced IIRC, something like $1k.
>>33463684
I'm pretty sure a few years ago I saw a kit to convert a 10/22 into a WA2000 mockup... looked pretty decent too. The company was Ironwood something.... Ironwood Productions? Can't remember.
