If you want a Mosin, for collecting, for the memes, or because you just like it, sure that's a good price these days provided the gun isn't a piece of shit.

However Mosins ascended to meme status because they were a sub-$100 bolt-action rifle chambered in a full-power cartridge that worked well enough. It's (numerous) flaws were easy to overlook because it was so cheap. Nothing else in that price range existed, much less competed.
Now that they've crept up into the $250-$400 range they have to be compared to other full-power bolt guns in that price range, and frankly they don't stack up.
