I work for the Feds, so unless you're explicitly authorized, it's not only against policy but also a crime, so no, I don't carry at work.
>>
>>33462166
I'm in a bit of a weird situation. I work for an entity that has a good number of right-leaning employees, but my direct supervisor is far-left. No I don't have a great relationship with him, but it's for mostly other reasons.
I guess that's what CC is for. I've OCed twice to work (no CCP yet for reasons), the first time this Inauguration. No one from my department was there so it was OK, but because of who we are we had a less-than-infinitesimal chance of being attacked by some crazed antifas or something that day.
>>
I am not gonna get stabbed by some meth addict who is pissed I won't sell his teenage son cigarettes. I hate this job anyway and if I get fired for lawful self defense I can just get a job at a gun store or some other place where they appreciate self defense.

I should've explained that at my side gig I quit it's against company policy to carry but I wasn't going to drive a cab without a gun.
>>
Concealed is concealed. I haven't been asked about it in 5 years, nobody has been any the wiser.

>been CCWing 5 years daily everywhere except for when I was in the hospital and when I've been on vacation out of the country
>got into a motorcycle wreck two years ago, broke three bones in my left wrist and hand, tore my ACL, concussed
>firefighters strapping me down onto the backboard don't even catch it, despite getting all touchy feely with me
>drifting in and out of consciousness, see cops on scene
>H-hey, could you wave them over for me?
>cops come
>pull up my shirt to expose my glock 26
>Officer, secure my firearm for me please, my ID is in my left pocket, I'm about to pass out
>cop grabs my big black glock, thankfully does not cause an ejaculation of lead into my crotch
>firefighter who groped me and strapped me to the board has his eyes nearly pop out of his skull
>wake up in the hospital
>get out of hospital next morning
>hobble down to precinct
>get my gun back
>cop range buddies etc etc
>>
>>33462166
I used to, when I was a wagecuck. I worked in a store with a high likelihood of getting robbed, you just have to make sure you don't blab about it and accept that your company will throw you under the bus to appease their lawyers and insurance.

Even if had a safe job I would still carry, because I refuse to be disarmed. I no longer fly for this reason.
>>
>>33462166
>Not working in the defense industry
>Not hitting the range with your coworkers on weekends
>>
>>33462428
I do deliver pizzas. For $15/hr mostly untaxed, it's not a bad gig. Especially with the flexibility and the fact that I get to work in the evenings so I can spend the day with my wife and children.

I carry every day. Almost had to draw once, but I wasn't too autistic and managed to de-escalate the situation.

OTR truck driver

fuck yes I do
my left boot has a side (inside) pocket
had it specifically designed and customized for my taurus 856

breaking (maybe) federal/state laws I'm sure, not to mention company policy.

I'd much rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6.
it's all about situational awareness.

not once have I been tempted to use it
but I always know it's there ready to go.

>>

i teach, so I legally can't carry in my classroom. I do keep a gun ready in my car in the off chance someone decides to sandy-hook my kids though.

if you want to carry, just carry and start throwing your resume around for a company that lets you carry
>>
>>33464008
For anyone who has some legal expertise, how would a dispute regarding this kind of sign be settled in court? The reason I ask is because while, at first glance, it seems rather cut and dry in favor of the property owner, there are also instances where federal law supersedes property rights (the case with that homosexual couple and the christian bakery and laws against discrimination in general).

I sell beer to niggers in the nigger ghetto. Not to get to /pol/ but have been disgusted by these niggers to the point I want to stop drinking. How they can wake up at 5am to go buy 5 18oz bottles of bud light but not work sickens me. I want to carry. Company doesn't care about it's workers and will ignore your concerns for your safety. Drivers tell me stories of being bystanders to shootings and all.

I work in a doctor's office, but we do a lot of medicaid patients, so I carry. Plenty of people have come in and been drunk/high and trying to get more pills, and either way, what's the point of carrying only if you're "expecting trouble"?
>>
>>33462166

CC at work is both against policy and illegal where I'm at.

hypothetically, I do it anyway. I'm not about to go unarmed and possibly throw my life away to appease management, or my legislators.

If I carried (and I totally don't because it's totally illegal) it would be a glock 26, ankle carry

Your job is a tool society uses to control and manipulate you. Of course human rights don't apply.

The police know where you live but will deliberately wait until you're at work to arrest you.

You're not allowed guns at work ONLY for this reason.

So police can arrest you and feel more safe than if it was a traffic stop or raid on your home.

And after you lose your job, because the vast majority of us live paycheck to paycheck, the police can more easily coerce you into a deal so you can leave the prison/jail more quickly and hopefully salvage your possessions before they get repossessed or auctioned off because you couldn't pay your bills.

We trade our lives for money so we can have things. Hours in exchange for wages in exchange for possessions.

The police literally take everything from you after you worked hard as hell, then they wonder why people are starting to hate them and kill them...

Honestly if the government documents our crimes and associates how trustworthy a citizen is based on criminal history..

What if civilians did that to the government? That'd be quite a list of crimes. That'd mean government agents are less trustworthy than the average citizen.

Welcome to life. Conspiracies exist and earth is hell.
>>
>>33462166
1) my uniform prevents it

2) I'm unarmed security; if I carry on the clock without authorization, I'm breaking the law.

I have been thinking about putting an sks in my car, though, just in case...

Really, though, I live and work in such a low threat area that I don't need a gun at work.

Pretty sure it went to court and the court said you have the right to keep a firearm in your vehicle regardless.

Remember your vehicle is considered an extension of your home and is afforded most the same rights as such.
>>
>>33465354

AR pointing right in their face will stop most people. Really though, I've never had to do that around here. I would be more concerned with crazy road rage fuckheads.

>2 more people with guns in truck

>constantly talking guns with half the employees

>bring in guns to show off, buy/sell/trade
>have cases and cases of ammo shipped here regularly

>business is in no way firearms or weapon related

so p. nice perks all things considered
>>
>>33466033

Then the boss can carry his own gun.

He can not be a hypocrite that sets his own hours while expecting everyone else to bend over and get fucked by his shit scheduling. The boss can not waste your time and money by calling you into work just to tell you you've been termed when he could have just done it over the phone.

Bosses are blind to a lot of the fucked up shit they do, just like we all are.

>I'm a boss and I'm fair! I pay these minimum wage bastards what they are worth!!

I've seen very hard workers never get raises after years. I'm a cook, and cooks have to work twice as hard as cashiers and they get the same pay. The only female cook we have was bitching about breaking a sweat at work one day.....

LIKE WTF women want equal pay for doing HALF the work and at my job they literally get it.

I rarely get what I want and most time I'm the statue and the bird is someone that has it better than me.

Next time you wait ten minutes for your fast food consider that they have very little reason to give a damn and minimum wage employees can easily sabotage almost EVERYTHING because they can blame it on ignorance/lack of training etc.

I feel bad for people running restaurants and businesses. They are in a tough spot. Must be frustrating trying to get an underpaid Jamal to sling burgers as fast as you want without looking like a slave driver.

A couple of my co-workers carry with tactical shirts or belly band holsters. A lot of people carry boot knives and shit.

Work in a big box gun shop so ironically we can't carry guns or anything larger than a 3" pocket knife. Pretty much everyone violates one of those rules. Several use push button switchblades as their "3" pocket knife". No one is going to die for our pistol case so if someone comes through the side door and robs the place we'll pretty much let them.

If those jobs paid one cent more than minimum wage the people currently working those jobs wouldn't have those jobs because they'd attract 1c better workers.

The cost benefit analysis is "can you make more money hiring white people at $10 an hour to work at McDonald's and actually get food out fast, cook it well, make orders properly, and give back correct change." And the answer is you can make more money hiring a skeleton crew of niggers who do a shit job and have a massive turnover because the customer will stand there and take it 9/10 times.
>Mfw even 10 years ago normal people (students and retirees and well paid managers) worked fast food
>Mfw now you can't find a shade lighter than mahogany in fast food today.
>Mfw full automation soon and mass unskilled "worker" unemployment

You clearly have no clue what the job entails. I have walked into stabbings with law enforcement before the scene is secured and they have a bullet proof vest and an AR and I have my fucking jump kit. f someone fires a shot and we get separated I'm fucked. I have had tweakers attempt multiple times to get violent. I deal with combative people all the time. I walk into shitty houses where the person needs help but doesn't want it and the family called so the patient are fucking pissed and chances are they might have a .45 on the coffee table. I have had numerous coworkers assaulted. One crew got held hostage at gun point because they pulled down the wrong driveway. My job has way more risk than a desk job or a job where the people in this thread are talking about carrying. In my area law enforcement can be 30 minutes away.

I work for a limousine company and we recently had a big company wide meeting specifically instructing us that we were not allowed to carry.
However many of my co-workers are older retired gentlemen. Many have retired from law enforcement or the funeral industry. They give zero shits about what our employer has to say on carrying a gun when driving a limo through a bad neighborhood at 3am.
I have been carrying ever since I started driving for them. If they start firing people for carrying they will find themselves pretty short on employees very quickly.
Interestingly one of our managers carries every day to the office. His excuse? He's not directly dealing with customers or driving one of the vehicles so he's not barred under company policy.
Pic unrelated.

Take care brother. Even in lower crime areas you guys still have to deal with people under the influence of drugs/alcohol and probably a good number of people that did NOT take the medications they were supposed to.

I don't know what drugs you have at your disposal, but having ANY drugs makes you a target.

I know a retired cop that had also worked as an EMT when he was younger. They gave them bright/reflective patches to wear on their chest. He refused saying he wasn't going to put a bullseye on himself.

Doesn't matter. They can't legally stop you from carrying at work for the following reason. Employers can not forbid a CC License holder from carrying in their car in the parking lot. Employers MUST provide a separate fenced and secured parking lot for licensed employees if they wish to post 30.06 and 30.07 signs.

Their signs are not legal unless they qualify as a bar, hospital, federal office, etc. Or if they provide the secure fenced parking area.
Got to read all the laws including who gets to post signs.

I carried on the job without a permit a couple times because it was a drinking holiday weekend and I was waiting for my permit to go through and I reasoned that I would use it as the ultimate last resort (as you should really anyways).

Now I have it, company has rule against it, nobody cares. In my state all they can do is regular employer punishment + lawsuit + a $25 ticket but I don't think it would go over well for them to do so, it's a fudd county and they would lose almost all their business for firing somebody over that.

In most states if not all (besides PRC) you are G2G when Concealed Carrying on private property, a workplace, or of course on your property.
Look it up in your state laws. Only place you'd be in violation is while in transit, and off-site.

Then one day boss decided that CCW wasn't allowed. We all bitched. Then he asked us all for copies of our licenses. As far as I know nobody complied. I didn't.
