>guns you want but don't exist

Why are there no box magazine fed 12 gauge pistols with 3 1/2" capacity? If you think "hurr recoil will braek ur wrists" you a faggot, get out.

Picture pretty much unrelated.
>>
>>33441065
Because it would only ever be a "pistol" and not a pistol.

The best it would ever be would be a giant ass ridiculously heavy unreliable C96 abomination in 12 gauge.

An M1 carbine style PCC in 5.7x28 (preferably takes P90 magazines and ejects out he top like a PPSh)

A .357 magnum revolver that isn't expensive as fuck, EAA, or Taurus.

S&W can go fuck themselves.

A modern simplified toggle action design (no, not a modern Luger, just toggle action)

The en bloc clip concept developed further (think a bastard SMG but as a closed bolt PCC.)
>>
>>33441382
Oh, also, I don't particularly care how, but a break top revolver in something that isn't unobtanium.
Perhaps a 9mm moon clip fed one will be low enough pressure?

And modern battle rifle style guns that aren't ultra high speed low drag shit.
A wood furniture SCAR would actually kinda fit my criterion (close enough at least)

Mossberg 590A1 that can take 3.5" shells and has a feed stop button for hassle free ejection port loading.

That would do it for me. My autisms would be pleased.

Oh, also, a modern single stack 9mm about the same size as a Makarov.
Preferably not polymer framed.

They got something like that. Sadly it uses 12 gauge minishells. Some one on /k/ has posted his before.
>>
>>33441483
I know.
I meant why has nobody shoehorned a basic locking mechanism into a Makarov yet and upscale fit into things like 9mm Luger (and hopefully eventually 10mm auto)

Oh, also, more modern not-shit .32's.
The ARex is gonna be awesome.
I'd like more.
>>
>>33441496
I pretty much have 3" 12 gauge pistols already, I want one in 3 1/2".
>>
>>33441199
just get a .357 or something if you want pump/lever action in a pistol caliber.
>>
>>33441506

The one I posted is magazine fed.
>>
>>33441522
One of mine is magazine fed, but pump action.

Still this is about the 3 1/2". I think I could get something close enough with an 870 Supermag, short barrel, stuff like that. Wouldn't be the same but it's not like a manufacturer would make something that fun, sadly.
>>
>>33441496
supposedly if you have big hands, this gun likes to pinch your trigger finger when you rack the slide.
>>
Break action revolver that sits in a seal with the barrel and uses a short stroke piston to cam the barrel rearward and along a Jackhammer style track to index, then returns to seal by the spring pressure of the piston.
Extraction would just be a spring-loaded detente on the front face of the cylinder that catches on the inside rims.

The biggest issue would be balancing the gas pressure and the weight of the cylinder to allow consistent indexing without risking blowing your hand off. Could probably work in .38
>>
The MDR.
>>
>>33441570
Soooo...a break action piston driven mate a that ejects the casings?
>>33441501
Also, a modern gas deal revolved for tactical suppression.
Hopefully with some special gas deal .357 type cartridge so you could shoot .38, .357, and whatever we'd call the gas deal cartridge (I'm leaning towards .357 quiet or something)
>>
>>33441596
The piston just retracts and indexes the cylinder, instead of having an actuated seal like the Nagant revolver that requires a dogshit trigger. The extractor isn't connected to the gas system, but since the piston would ostensibly be in the same location as the extraction rod on a standard revolver, you'd have to move it somewhere else.

What about that there South African one, that MAG-7 SBS? I mean, it's pretty heavy and a pump action, but it's not entirely wrong, aside from not needing smaller shells.
>>
>>33441619
What the blue fuck is that high school machine shop abortion?
>>
>>33441632
*aside from it not feeding regular shells, sorry
>>
>>33441618
Fuck dude, you could probably just engineer your way around that if it's a break action.

Have the piston be both the piston and the extractor.
It sounds hard but the piston only moves back and forth a little, so you could probably just have it be inside the extractor kinda like a sleeve.

Then again you'd also need to do some fancy machining work to get the piston to still interact with the cylinder.

What if you moved the extractor to the outside of the cylinder and had one for each chamber and had them all connected like a ring around it?

Fuck Ruger.
I'd have bought one already if I could trust their QC but they managed to fuck up a 10/22, hoe the hell is a revolver from them going to be okay.

As for the revolver, I meant something in a modern easy to find not shit caliber.
Sorry for not clarifying.
I know that the H&R .22s are around, and I know the repro S&Ws exist as well.
I simply want a break top in .38 special, .357 magnum, 9mm, .380, whatever the fuck you want.

If we can take a concept from 1941 that completely failed and make it one of the lost popular guns of all time a break top revolver that is easy to feed and worth a damn ought to be nothing.

People simply haven't tried enough.
Hell, the Russians at least got it to sort of work (multiple times in different calibers too)
