This movie reminded me of the kind of shit I'd cook up when I was 12. It actually upsets me that adults were paid to write and produce this piece of fucking garbage.

Not true. But what I find nice is that Godzilla has had thicc legs and a relatively small upper body throughout his history. This is most pronounced in Shin Godzilla, pic related. It takes this often raised criticism into account by shifting his mass towards his support structure=legs.

I don't know, reptiles mature like that IRL. look at hatchling gators, snapping turtles, alligator snapping turtles etc. - they all look pretty and are even colorful as hatchlings but then morph into ugly mofos but in the end the main difference is just size and bulk.
