Because they are stupid bubba fucks who do it. New stock is less ergonomic and looks gayer, likely cause problems with operating system wit nig-rigged high caps for maximum bubba spraying capacity. Retard scopes are common too with those dust cover mounts. Just buy something else, its just tasteless.

I bought one on in Florida when I was 17. It was a Yugo in a Tapco with a railed dust cover and 7 removable plastic magazines. All of the original parts came with it. I paid $300 for it and I treated it like shit. Last December I got drunk and restored all of the original parts, save the integral magazine. It instantly became my second favorite gun. I cherish that thing now, don't know what happened.

Putting a tapco onto an SKS isn't bubba. Doing something outlandishly stupid to it like this is. I tapco'd my SKS and switch between the original stock and Tapco stocks because I'm tall and hate shooting with my arm chicken winged.
