I was k9 for ten years. We have to blouse on hime station because of regs. My first deployment we were still blousing but by my second you didn't blouse because your trousers are made of flash fire resistant (ied explosion) cloth so having them unbloused provides more coverage. We even were given flight suits(cover alls) for this reason before they perfected the regular uniforms.

We used to be able to roll our sleeves on deployment too but after they figured some shit out you kept your sleeves down. Not everyone did it but if you were in convoys it was in your best interest to keep that clothing over as much exposed skin as possible.
