Loo/k/ what the mailman left for me today...

$93.00 shipped, or 18.6 cents per round.

How'd I do?

I guess we do need new kaboom stories.

Oh, I'm sure you have plenty of horror stories about reloads taking an eye out...

I emptied the bag in to a new paint can...

You do realize that two of the most respected ammunition manufacturers in the US market are remanufacturers, right?

Good job spending more money than new steelcase, and $0.03/rd less than new brass for the slight and rare possibility of your gun exploding.

>Good job spending more money than new steelcase...

I'm not a nigger.

And, ammo companies that blow up their customers don't stay in business.

If you don't like re-manufactured ammo, don't buy it.

What is this supposed to be proof of?

That the company that supplies ALL the match ammunition to ALL branches of the military and holds several contracts for combat ammunition, and whose ammo holds more competitive shooting records than all other factory or reman loads, and enjoys a practically flawless track record and overwhelmingly glowing public opinion is itself a remanufacturer?
>>

>That the company that supplies ALL the match ammunition to ALL branches of the military
Wrong

>and holds several contracts for combat ammunition,
So do some of the worst ammo manufacturers in America

>and whose ammo holds more competitive shooting records than all other factory or reman loads,
[citation needed]

>and enjoys a practically flawless track record
I didn't realize I was speaking to a paid blog advert from 2012

THat says that all branches purchase from them It doesn't say that all branches purchase ALL their ammo from them. You need reading comprehension.

Would you prefer I look up the actual contract numbers?

Or the memoranda for record showing that the DoD gets ammo from exactly 2 places: Lake City and Black Hills?

The DoD solicits contracts with every new fiscal year. There is no way that only two ammo suppliers supply the entire US military.
>>
>>33374213
>Our remanufactured line

This part implies they have a non-remanufactured line. I shoot their .308 moly match and its new made ammo.
>>
>>33374155
The point is that you didn't really save that much money (especially not enough to brag about it in hopes of getting 4chan Gold) and that if you were a true Jew you'd be reloading your own.
>>
>>33373697
My Blazer or Seller bellot 9mm is 21 cents a shot for new high quality ammo.
1,000rds for $211 (including shipping)

I don't mess around with remanufactured ammo because the slightly lower cost ain't worth it.

Especially when steel case is cheaper still
>>
>>33374476
Especially not with fucking reloads.
>>
Working at a shooting range I have seen an incredible amount of carastrophic failures from remanufactured. The only reloads that go into my guns are mine.
>>
>>33374936

I call bullshit.
>>
>>33373697
i get wolf at 0.16 cents shipped to my door by the thousand... in massachusetts nonetheless. 18.6 for reman is nothing to write home about

What is it about remanufactured ammo that is bad? Too much powder?
>>

agrred. i dont shoot reman ammo, but i dont care if others do. but if you are, you should be atleast saving more money.
heres 19 cents per rounds after free shipping (if youre a member)

bubba's ziplok bag of ammo
>>
>>33375761
the issue is accountability. no one and nothing is perfect. kabooms can happen with any type of ammo from anyone. but the difference is big name companies have insurance and employees to help you if theres an issue. if ammo you bought from some dude at a gunshow blows up, then what?
quality control is another issue. big companies with multi million dollar machines run by employees, vs that dude again.
in anycase, shoot whatever you want. its your guns and money
>>
>>33373814
>First one is hokey

why do people say reloading 9mm isnt worth it unless you like the hobby?

9.3CPR would absolutely be worth it.

My mailman brought me a nice Lothar Walther.

It used to be a lot less fucking stupid here.

>>33375823
Some people aren't into it. Large initial investment and time that can be spent jacking off
>>
I walked into a gun shop recently and they had clear plastic bags of ammo. The guy said they were new manufacture but I wasn't there for ammo at the time. Sounded fishy though, is he bullshitting me? I've never shot reman ammo but it can't be that bad right?

What projectile? I'm at 11cpr with my old xtreme plated bullets before they started getting expensive. Probably going to switch over the BBI since I shoot them in 40 now...
>>
>>33375823

Because those people aren't factoring in their time. It's 9.3 cpr not counting labor. I make about $50/hr, which isn't upper-middle-class-tier, but it isn't nigger tier. How many hours is it going to take me to make 100 rounds after I've shopped online for what I want, set my equipment up, unpacked it all and gotten everything boxed to take to the range? An hour or two? How much to sweep my brass up at the range and clean it?

Not worth it, since my time is worth more than that. If I made closer to $20/hr then it might be worth it.
>>
>>33375880
You are fucking around on 4chan right now... You probably don't make $50 an hour, and you definitely don't make that 24/7...
>>
>>33375901

$50/hr isn't hard to make in the adult world, my man. I'm over 30, been fucking around on 4chan for over a decade. Used to browse /b/ all the time, then /pol/, now I'm here.
>>
>>33375880
If you're on call 24/7 that's cool but some people have off time they like to spend reloading.
>>
I don't get it. /k/ masturbates over milsurp rounds, which have a dodgy history no matter what they think, and at three times the price that OP paid.

Oh, yeah, I just remembered that this is /k/....on 4chan,
>>
>>33375901
not that anon above but time and effort are big considerations in reloading.
you could cast your own bullets for free from scavenged lead. that sounds great but again, time and effort.
>>
>>33375823
That's the cost if you cast your own bullets, which is a PITA, and doesn't account for your time.

There is still some risk in reloading and all the liability is on you.

For 9mm you need a pretty hefty investment to make it worthwhile, with a progressive press being the bare minimum. You also need to shoot A LOT.

Not saying it isn't worth it for some, but I can see why someone wouldn't bother seeing as 9mm is so cheap.

Also, collecting your brass is a pain unless you shoot at a private range/property.
>>
>>33375921

Yeah, it sucks. I work a lot, and I have kids and a wife and dog and shit. Some people don't have as many obligations pulling them in every single direction, and if you have the time then I say reloading might be right for you. Shit, when my kids gets older I might put their tiny fingers to good use and get them some reloading equipment for my birthday.

>>
>>33375941
Definitely conscript your children into free labor. My uncle didn't let me use his guns unless I made at least a case of ammo on the press.
>>
I make $25 an hour, no overtime, only comp-time so I essentially get paid to reload...
>>
>>33375924
we arent talking about any other ammo but 9mm. OP posts about buying reman ammo for a mediocre at best price and asks "how'd i do?". we're telling him- he didnt do well.

I got a 900 round spam can of 9mm Tula for $72 a few months ago. Stop wasting your money on already used brass and instead wait for good deals on steel.
>>
>>33376340
This famalam. I don't see the point of specifically buying brass unless you yourself reload or plan to reload in the future, and if that were the case you wouldn't be buying someone else's reloads.
