17 Hornet will shoot much flatter but is designed for small varmint. 17 Hornet, when found, is typically $0.80/rd to $1+/rd. Handloading is an excellent option as these use small rifle primers ($0.02/ea), .17 cal bullets ($0.17/ea), and 22 Hornet brass ($0.25/ea). Realistically, <$0.30/rd plus elbow grease.

I want a pistol in 7.62x39, stuck between AK style (M92 pap, Draco) or AR15 in 7.62.
The AR is about $150 cheaper, only downside I can think of is magazine availability.

Seems the deal of the year, check everything carefully especially the bore, difficult to look at already, so bring a flashlight to light the breech.

My autism would bring a patchworm with clean patches to clean it and see better the bore. Stainless means no rust but I hope there are not any cleaning damages.
Also being picky here for such a steal. Kinda jelly.

if you want 7.62 get an ak style. much more robust platform for 7.62. i've heard mostly good things about dracos, and mostly only bad things about 7.62 ars. if you want a 7.62ish ar pistol, go for 300 blackout.

Whether it's a straight .17 Hornet (Hornady Hornet) or a .17 K-Hornet (which got the Ackley treatment). You can safely shoot factory .17 Hornet ammo in a K-Hornet but accuracy will suffer, you can't get a K-Hornet to chamber in a regular Hornet.

.17 Hornet ammo will run between 50 and 60 cents a round, so roughly double what 7.62x39 is, but it's high quality ammo and not milsurp or a poor clone thereof. Hornady is the only company still producing it.

.17 K-Hornet is not a SAAMI-approved caliber, it's a wildcat, and literally nobody makes ammo for it.

They will wear out slightly faster than a regular .223 bolt but not by enough to really worry about.

wasr-10. you shouldn't be paying $850, they should be ~$700. avoid IO and century. saigas are good too, veprs, and any imported ak really.
