Looking for advice on taking a Martial Art. Recently I've been thinking about getting back into Martial Arts as a way to help out my fitness routine, and prepare me for defence situations. I already lift and do cardio and have done Jiu Jitsu in the past but never really liked the idea of going to the ground on the street or at a bar. Any advice or tips would be appreciated!

For Judo are there certain things I should look for to ensure its a legit school?

Wrestling > boxing > anything else

It should be a IJF-registered dojo that competes regularly on local and international levels. If they don't compete, I would go somewhere else.

How do you plan to learn? Going to the Classes, Dojo or boxing type locations, DVDs or books?

Are there schools that teach wrestling to adults?

Ideally going to classes or a gym. Ultimately training with a group of people experienced in their Martial Art

Thats the tough part. Youll have to find a club or sumtin. Wrestling isnt very popular cause americans are very touchy about touching other men in spandec, unless its football.
So far looks like Judo and Boxing are popular, anyone have any experience with shit like krav maga?

Krav can mean going to the floor. I suggest learning it but OP had requirements.

I've done kung fu ("bok-fu") and am only vaguely aware of other disciplines.
taekwondo= kicks
judo= grappling
I still know the basics and practice punches and blocks.
