Noted, and considered. Shot one a long time ago, I remember not being too impressed. I may snag one off a friend to go to the range with for a day and see if anything has changed.

The p320 subcompact I bought a few months back now has 768 rounds through it with no failures of any kind. Steel cased crap, cheap brass ammo, and federal hst ammo have gone through it.

Also I have a Walther ppq which has a fantastic trigger and accuracy but I feel the p320 is the better choice as LEO and big army contracts will lead to more aftermarket and factory parts

FNS 9 will shoot great right out of the box and comes with 3 x 17 rd. mags. It's also in a price range that you don't mind actually treating it like a duty gun.

I've put over 7k rounds through my P320 compact with no issues. Occasionally poor ammo quality has caused a problem, but that's true for any gun.

Biggest complaint is the lack of swap kits which was the big selling point when they first came out. Haven't found any, and certainly not for the ~$350 I was told a couple years back. Mags are also fucking expensive.

If you do get one, make sure to get some sort of night sights. They're worth the money.

tl;dr it's a good pistol, I've had no problems. But I am one in a sea of many, so take my story as such.

CZ P09 Supressor Ready model. Threaded barrel, night sights and 21+1 rounds on tap. you can find them for ~$550 or so. A good option, especially if you want something to suppress in case the HPA passes. I just prefer SA/DA over striker fire. If you do too, give it a look.

I keep my Canik tp9sa as my beater/ fishing gun.
Has run 2k worth of steel shit no problem. chrome lined hammer forged barrel rated for 60k rounds seems good to me. Oh and a nice trigger

Do you intend to mount anything on it?
If not then you should be able to find a CZ-75 (surplus) somewhere like JGsales or AIM surplus for cheaper than a Glock (and with better Ergos and a better trigger)

HK VP9 - Awesome trigger, comfiest polymer handgun I've ever held and extremely natural point of aim.

Just don't get a Block unless you intend to never shoot anything else. Then a Block will be fine.

The biggest shortcomings of the Sig 320 right now are that replacement grip modules sell faster than they can be produced, and if you want to use a red dot with the gun, the red dot slides only accept Sig's red dots.

I would try the Walther PPQ if you could. Or if you didn't mind the trigger on the USP, then try a P30--they're ergonomics are great.
