What kind of weapons (both guns and explosives (grenades, claymores, IEDs, etc.)) would one expect to find around Africa, Western Asia, Middle East, Southeast Europe area?
Things both unsanctioned terrorists/warlords would use as well as official government army and police forces. What about private citizens?
Pic related, I assume.

Ak47, surplus rifles, russian shit in general
AKs of all types and manufacture, SKSs to a lesser degree, you'll find Lee-Enfields in South Asia (Afgahn War leftovers etc.), some Mausers, Mosins, RPG-7s, RPKs, PKMs, maybe a couple DP-28s, TT-33s, Makarovs, 1911s, revolvers of various types. Homemade guns aren't uncommon in some regions. I'm probably forgetting a lot.
Your area is so large that you would be almost guaranteed to find examples of most weapons produced in the last 50 years

Oh yes, cheap ARs pop up in South-East Asia too.

This is actually very helpful. Thanks

Addendum to this question: assuming I were an arms dealer with the means to transport a great deal of weapons, what should I be most looking to sell?
I presume "anything" is a perfectly valid answer given the rundown weapons and leftovers offered by

but is there anything more specific?

Really it depends on the area and which European countries were involved previously, with few exceptions.
As far a explosives, RDG-5s and other Russian frags are common, as are smoke etc. Russian and their Chinese knockoff mines are common too.
