Is there an intermediate cartridge that's as silent as the 300 AAC when suppressed, but doesn't drop like a rock?

You need to lurk moar
>>33303206
.50AE
just settle for 5.56 and quit looking for niche meme rounds
>>33303206
Nope, its a function of velocity, the slower you go the faster it drops. Only way around is to either go supersonic and allow the crack or just keep it below the supersonic speeds.

but suppressed 5.56 only lowers 10-15db, which is still about 120-130db range, think about that when trying to fire it in a house
And subsonic 5.56 doesn't cycle
>>33303206
Maybe it'll exist when someone invents a reliable gyrojet round that goes subsonic but stays flat the entire way?
>>33303206
>subsonic round that doesn't drop
nope, use supersonic rounds if you need to go farther

>>33303263
wait isn't 4.6x30 (the MP7's round) subsonic AND still hits hard at 100-200 meters?
doesn't that fit OP's criteria?
>>33303814
4.6x30 is far from subsonic.
>>33303278
Subsonic 5.56 is moronic anyway. You may as well shoot 22lr.
Whatever happened to .338 Spectre? There's also all those bigger-bore Whisper cartridges.

There is a subsonic 5.7 and subsonic 4.6, but you may as well shoot a BB gun instead of the 4.6 or an SSS .22 instead of the 5.7.
