I unironically like my 17. I got it basically brand new for dirt cheap, and it's by far not the best gun I own, but I like it. It does what it's supposed to do, and all the issues I have with it are fixable at my leisure since it's neither my HD gun or my carry gun. Is the Glock the be all end all of handguns? Fuck no. Is it shit? Not really.

The 10mm Glocks are pretty legit, though. Thick as a brick and about as heavy, uglier than sin, and not as nice as a 1911 in 10mm, but still nice.

In my experience, these guns are not perfect: Certain loadings by Underwood do jam in them, although I think that's mostly the ammo's fault because all other ammo runs fine.

Glocks are okay, only beef I have is the owners who think they are better than any 1911 or feel they are the best polymer framed pistols anyone can possibly find. They simply aren't. The triggers out of the box feel really good, the U sights suck, the build quality is pretty good, the 17m looks ugly as fuck, they shoot fairly good groupings right out of the box, not a ton of lube or cleaning is needed. Most people add upgrades to their guns regardless of the make or model so the fact that people spend $200+ more on their $500 glock isn't really relevant, everyone wants that one gun that feels perfect to them while shooting it.
