Wear safety glasses (so your eyes don't get irritated), and have a friend shoot you in the face 5-6 times with .22 snake shot so you can prove to everyone that it's perfectly safe and fun.

Paintballs have like 15 ft/lbs of energy, 22 subsonics have around 100 ft/lbs with a 40 gr bullet. Each rat shot pellet has considerably less mass than a 40 gr bullet. just saying.

You can make your own by getting normal 22, removing the bullet, and replacing it with birdshot. You can use melted wax to help seal it and prevent it from spilling out but you don't need it if you don't have any candles.

Will rat shot damage the rifling of the barrel? I've never shot any before.

I'm thinking the Doc will have to debride the centre of the pattern, and send you for grafting if it's too big. The outer edges of the pattern we can try to remove with forceps,but some will be left in. A course of amoxicillin, and then you should go see your family MD about lead testing moving forward.

My neighbour and I used to shoot each others with ratshot over a dead cat story.

He had the high ground, and usually shot right in front of me hitting the pavement, most of the time the pellets would scatter, sometimes one would penetrate my outsole but nothing more.
This happened at like 6AM which is the time I leave for work, this fucker was getting up earlier than I tho, so he'd ambush my ass when on my way to my car.

Most of the times I shot back around 7PM when back from work, and I know it was dinner time for him. Just some shots at his wall or under his terrace to remind him to get fucked.
