>selling my AR-15 for something with more affordable ammo
Is this a bad idea?
>>33263345
Tell me more
>being a poorfag
>not reloading
>5.56
>not affordable
Just get a fucking .22 LR then
>>33263340
>>33263340
you go from 30cpr to 20cpr
you go from 600 meters effective to 100 meters effective
you go from 3000 fps to 1000 fps
you go from rifle wound effects to pistol wound effects
I won't tell you what to buy, but I will lay out these facts for you to decide.
>>33263340
>5.56 is expensive
how poor are you?
Bait? Tulashit is .4c a round more for .223 than 9mm. If that's breaking the bank maybe shooting isn't for you.
>>33263340
>Sell gun that shoots the cheapest centerfire ammo available with spare parts and barrels cranked out in every machine shop in the nation
>To get a gun that shoots cheaper ammo
So a pellet gun?
The days of $70 spam cans of nugget food is long gone.
>>33263377
>using Tulashit
>ever
It's like you hate your guns
>>33263340
there is not much ammo cheaper than .223 besides maybe 9mm or .22
>>33263369
All of these "facts" are wrong.
>~30 cpr is too expensive
>>33263399
>All of these "facts" are wrong.
not really
>>33263340
>5.56
>not affordable
Holy shit dude is this bait? 5.56 is one is the cheapest rounds there is
>>33263399
really? correct them. Or stfu.
Before then, please prove you actually own an AR and a pistol caliber carbine.
you can get Wolfshit for 21 cents per rounds.

>>33263411
Not same guy but,
You don't need to own these things to be able to look up statistics
If 5.56/.223 ammo is too expensive for you, find a new hobby.
>>33263411
tfw you can never delete the internet
>>33263437
>>33263425
yeah but 22 is 8 cents per round
>>33263340
Selling your only AR? Bad idea.
Selling an extra AR or other rifle for a PCC? Go for it.
>>33263474
>.22
>out of stock forever
>using rimshit
Nice memes
>>33263474
Why not just keep the AR and buy a .22?
>>33263501
a conversion bolt and a magazine or two is only $200.
a brand new standard 10/22 is $250 at Bud's Gunshop.
>>33263473
>>33263430
I was correcting a grammar mistake you autist.
>>33263525
...question still stands, why not keep the AR and buy a .22? If $250-$300 is a lot of money to you then maybe you need to get your finances worked out before continuing with this hobby.
>>33263563
He just gave you the answer. You can convert your existing AR for cheaper in a matter of seconds. Plus you get the added benefit of using the same trigger and optic to practice with.
>>33263496
>uh not out of stock ever
>not practicing 4x more often with a 22
you are literally pissing away money
>>33263667
OP says
>selling my AR-15 for something with more affordable ammo
Can't you just get a .22lr upper and keep your .223/5.56 upper to swap back onto the gun if you ever wanna shoot something besides rimfire ammo?
>>33263694
You don't even need a whole upper. There are .22LR conversion BCGs and magazines that drop in to 5.56 uppers with 5.56 barrels.
>>33263340
>.223 is not affordable
>9mm is
Are you suffering from down syndrome?
>>33263718
interesting
>>33263340
>selling my AR-15 for something with more affordable ammo
BWHAHAHAHAHA!!!111!!!!!11!!!!!
/k/ really is the easiest board to troll.
>>33263534
>calling someone an autist
>while being a grammar nazi faggot on a board dedicated to weapons
If I were there in person to slap some sense into you, I would.
>>33263389
It's perfectly fine for plinking or drill shooting. As long as you don't use it extensively you won't have any problems.
>>33266835
You can only be a grammar nazi if you were correcting OTHER POEPLE. I simply hold myself to a higher standard.
Fucking fag.
>>33263340
>sell your $500 POS AR-15 for a $1500 MPX in order to save money on ammo.
>full retard
Just get a .22 or 9mm upper.
>>33263340
What are you going to switch to? 9mm? You need some type of war ready gun and that's anything in one of the worthy rifle calibers (which .223 barely reaches). The only cheaper worthy rifle caliber is 7.62x39. But I'm a richfag so I only shoot superior .22lr, so I wouldn't know about these problems.
