Who else can't wait for these old fuck hoarders to croak?
>>
>>33263025
And the fuckers who hoard FAL kits and jack up the prices.

And the fuckers who hoard .22 and any other ammo.

And the fuckers who hoard nuggets.

Hell, anyone who buys a shitload of the same thing and then just sits on them.
>>
>>33263025
>REEEEEEEEEEEE this man is shit because he is smart and because he took prepayments for his retirement
If you were smart you'd hoard stuff yourself
>>
>>33263941
Or he just wants one and they have them all and are dicks about it.

It's kinda simple really.
It's kinda like dicks with cool cars that have gen of the same model and jack up the price an absurd amount just because they can.
Kinda like machinegun collectors (some of them at least)
>>
>>33263941
If he finds a buyer willing to meet his price then yes smart. I worry he would have been better off with a ira but meh guess we will see what he gets talked down to fuck 22 hoarders though they made it harder to run rifle class for kids
>>
>>33263787
>And the fuckers who hoard .22 and any other ammo.
All those fucking preppers have rooms full of .22 because they read books saying it's going to be the new currency. Eventually they will die and armslist will be flooded with it.
>>
>>33266565
Yup.
Hopefully the lead they used to shield themselves from radiation will get to them.

Hoarding toys to make money is smart.

Want toys? Pay what the market will bear.

Guns to men are like shoes to women.
>>
>>33266688
And then we end up with shit like a $700 Mosin when I can find the same thing for $220 easily and $190 or lower at my LGS if I search.
>>
>>33266565
It's already happening.
Most gun shops are selling .22 for $20 ish a box(500)
These fudds can be found trying to sell it for $35+

Someone has to have that shceen shot of that Fudd who was trying to sell 250,000 rounds of .22

Obama stopped the re-importation of some of the Garands South Korean still have. I have read differing reports that says there are 1 million Garands still there. The first import was to be about 76K rifles. https://thearmsguide.com/10475/curious-case-south-koreas-m1-rifle-stockpile/

Meh, I don't buy it. Gun hoarders/collector have friends who are also gun hoarders/collector. When one of them/us die, there's a buddy waiting with money in hand to 'take care of' those dear possession as the wife can't get them out of the house fast enough.
>>
>Production ramped up
>Obama/Hillary have departed as a boogymen
>High confidence of secured 2A rights for several years
>Mountain of inventory nobody is panicking to buy anymore

Keep your eye on those NICS numbers. I imagine over the next year purchases will fall off, nervous bubbas with all their money tied up in .22 will find no buyers, they'll quit hoarding inventory, a lack of hoarders will lead to overabundance at reasonable prices on shelves, and eventually desperate over-leveraged bubbas selling at a loss.

Just wait it out. All signs point to the gun market crashing.

Georgiagunstore had like...2000 MP Sport ARs in stock. I was wondering if they did that in case Hillary won and they could make a huge profit off the scares.

But now we have 500 dollar ARs and I am a happy new gun owner.
>>
>>33272706
one of my local LGS had a huge sale of AR's a couple weeks ago, apparently they bought like $1.4 million worth of extra inventory during the election and had to dump it all. They had M&P Sport's for $500 and Daniel Defense rifles going for like $1100.

I had one old fudd tell me how OBAMAS SECRET SERVICE was training mail-men how to assassinate gun owners with .22 so the post office was buying up all the .22. So when you ordered any ammo/gun related items through the mail they'd kill you on your doorstep.

Had another one get into a fight with a customer

>Dad buying a 10/22 for his son.
>Put aside the last three bricks for him.
>Going through the paperwork with the guy.
>Fudd comes up
>I WANT THAT THERE .22

>Son is right there.

During the Cold War, the U.S. provided hundreds of thousands of M1 rifles to South Korea, which used them for 50 years before deciding to upgrade. To defray this cost, the Korean government wants to sell the M1s to American citizens.

I fucking hate how we as taxpayers are so taken advantage of. We provide the rifles and they sell them back to us making us pay for them twice. Fuck you South Korea. I will buy some m1 carbines tho if there 600 or less

Btw the argument "but milsurp is a good investment look at SKS and Garand prices" is fucking retarded for two reasons off the top of my head.
1. The gun market is governed by neurotic government agents not the actual participants in the market, the SKS is expensive partly because of govt import bans and demand from actual soldiers fighting in the middle east.
2. Before claiming "milsurp is was more valuable dude SKS went from $75 to $500 in 15 years" do yourself a favor and look at how the exchange rate for US dollars and precious metals has changed in 15 years. The reason gold and silver are "worth more" now is because the US dollar is worth far far less despite what govt inflation statistics say. Lol I remember when bacon was $1 a pound, it's like $5 a pound now. Has bacon become 5 times more valuable or can our dollars just buy 5 times less bacon?

>>
>>33280314
Are you retarded? How is real property liquid? If you needed to access $10k within the week you couldn't sell all your stupid guns to reliably get $10k. You'd also risk taking a huge hit on their value. Children shouldn't be allowed on /k/.
>>
>>33280478
Plus guns can just collapse in price if the govt loosens imports or the mania of the last 8 years subsides. Though I'm sure some /k/ommando has tried you cannot eat guns or pay your mortgage in .22lr. These fudds who thought they were so smart buying everything in sight for 8 years and even more under the expectation of a Clinton presidency are rightly fucked and are staring down the barrel (no pun intended) of total financial ruin.

It's all about supply and demand, and with a more relaxed gun buying atmosphere demand is cratering while the impending imports and panicking fudds are gonna flood the market with supply
>>
>>33280666
On the contrary, you can eat .22 lr.

It's not advised, but you can.
>>
>>33280602
They don't have any anymore.
>>33280193
More like $100k, no garands in my area at all besides like 2 springfield ones that the gunshop has on consignment for $2k.
>>
>>33280745
Just because there are inflated prices locally doesn't mean this guy would be getting $1k for each Garand. Most are probably of low quality. It's also funny that if he just invested that money conentionally he'd have a lot more wealth.
>>
>>33273072
Those slant eyed rice pickers better not be destroying any of those rifles.
>>
>>33280809
I don't mean its worth $100k because of the gunshop having a few for $2k, I mean there is virtually no supply of garands for sale in the area and it seems like most people want at least $1000 for one when they do show up on the market.
>>
I went into my local sporting goods store to pick up ammo the day after Election Day. The owner looked shellshocked.

He told me (in private) that he'd spent a lot of time organizing a Doomsday Sale in expectation of a Clinton victory.

Now he's expecting to lose a lot of money since the hicks and anti-government weirdos aren't buying as much.
>>
>>33280904

Don't worry those NRA faggots are already hard at work orchestrating the next panic buy. Probably going to tie in with LaPierre's autistic CPAC speech talking about "paid protesters" and "librul terrorists"

Give it a month or two and your sales will be back through the roof.

Garands are liquid. Put them up for sale on Gunbroker (but do it slowly, so as not to appear to flood the market), and you can convert all your physical assets into cash within a few months or less.

The problem here is that the associated risk of the Garand market affects his entire portfolio because he didn't bother to diversify.

very few people and it's getting fewer every day

seriously who the fuck wants buy an ancient rifle ?

only a small number of collectors and rest assured they are not passing their interests down to the next generation, who will want to collect something else

that idiot if he really has 107 garands is fucking himself depending on when he plans to sell them

same thing happens in collector cars, the huge baby boom could care less about 1930s cars, which just 20 years ago commanded a premium price, now they are declining because their market demand is dieing off

sure those M1 garands might be expensive today and for maybe what 5-10 more years ?

then the younger generation will want to buy m16s that saw service in viet nam, the people after that will want m4s that saw service in the middle east shithole sandbox

believe it or lose $$
