Its a great round that hits hard. Its still my main durr rifle. Ammo is more scarce these days. No place around me carries core lokt (the best .35) anymore. I have to order online where I get ass raped. Its like $1.50 a round BEFORE shipping. It keeps me from shooting the rifle more often.

With levers reloading is inevitable. Assuming its a straight walled cartridge it will be easy enough and there are cheap single stage options. Big thing is read the manual make damn sure you keep stuff marked and measure accurately. Other than that start light and work up to what feels/works perfect

Get a levergat that can use more than 1 type of ammo. You can use .357 Magnum and .38 Special out of the same gun IIRC.
Same with .44 Magnum and .44 Special, but .357/.38 is more common and cheaper.
Also probably a higher chance of being available when some ammo shortage comes through, regardless of what caused it. 9mm and the common calibers will be cleaned out quicker than you can say kneecap

If you can find a solid 357 this works. 44 is more common now but ammo is variable 45lc is regionally very common to nonexistent for ammo but easier to find than the 44. 30-30 is everywhere but has limited handgun options
