I'll get all the usual /k/ advice out of the way

1. Run with weight. The more weight, the faster you go and the shorter the distance the better. Fill a backpack with rocks and plates, then do some sprints over rough terrain. This is the only running you should be doing.

2. Start training to shoot now. You can show up there and be the best and you won't need to listen to the range instructors. Practice other stuff, like hand signals and slang terms.

3. Follow a powerlifters training program and diet.

4. Take anabolic steroids. Everyone in the Infantry and SOF take roids, you should too. When you fail the piss test just remind them that you're in the USMC and can take all the roids you want

5. Take your own weaponry. Thanks to Obama you can't take your own long guns, but a carry piece and various knives (Rambo or better) will do the trick.

6. Volunteer for everything. You'll look keen and will get an easy ride from the staff.

7. Tell them straight away that you aspire for special forces and that you'll be out of their unit in no time.
