Found a stray bullet at the range and can't identify the type, 9mm casing for scale, da fauq is it?

I'd say .45 ACP FMJ 230gr.
>>33204179
This
Go get a pair of calipers to be sure

I don't have any on hand, but it appears to be much larger than a .45acp and it was found on a rifle only range, not to say it couldn't be a handgun round though, I'm certainly not an expert.

Meanwhile on the other side of the autism spectrum, .22 Tuba. The .22 you can fire from your 1911 because fucking fudds man.
>>33206346
Wouldn't that fuck your barrel up?
>>33204166
50 GI?
>>33206415
No why do you think it would?
>>33206415
It'd just be inaccurate, it won't try to fly out the side of the barrel. Forward velocity and path of least resistance and all that.

The Tuba rounds were made as display dummies.
No one actully made barrels to use them. Most are actually just turned brass with no provisions for primer or powder.
