Hey there /k/
I'm wondering if any of you know what this little slot on the grip of my p226 is for?
Seems a little heavy for a keychain...

Go away dipshit retard

I would if you answered the question. You must suck at taking tests.

I don't have a single lanyard that fits in there... It is pretty snug. Can't fit a keychain loop through it.
Put your penis in it.
It's for you to carry AIWB without the need to buy an expensive holster.
Run paracord through it, attach it to your wrist. Now if someone tries to take your gun, it's attached to your arm.
Also, what a great spot to attach a single-point sling!

That at least sounded reasonable, but I can't find a single example of someone using it that way. Seriously, google appendix carry without holster - I did, and I don't see a single example where this would or could be used for appendix carry. Maybe you know something I don't, but if you've got a pic of someone using it like that I'd be super interested.

This is the most reasonable explanation I've heard thus far.

It's for putting keychains on you scrub.

shitty molding?

I can't honestly think of anything other than something like this.
If I had some kawaii-ass cellphone charms I'd attach them here for sure, but I guess I wasn't aware of the level of 'personalization' that Sig was offering on this model.

That looks really uncomfortable.

cell phone charm then.

hahahahahahahaha fuckin perfect
OP do this, you'll become a legend!
Run a lanyard through it and loop the lanyard through that strap on the shoulder of your shirt.

On the Sig p226 that location will allow you to detach the grips, and swap them out. Have you had the pistol long? You have the basic grips set.
idiots not knowing where you are suppose to put your navy seal rape whistle.

You can't fit a keychain loop through it because you are weak as shit or are using a loop with a radius too large. Or you could just put the lanyard clip right in there no problem. Do you even own a lanyard?

wrong faggot

Go to google. Type in pistol lanyard. It's different than the one kind you put around your neck with your keys on it. I'm pretty sure it's in case you drop your pistol or it falls out of your holster in combat, you can't lose it cause its attached to you.

on my VP9 magwell skirts mount off it
pic off google obv not vp9

I think this guy is actually right.
I've never encountered someone who needed to use a pistol lanyard personally, but I guess they're commonly used by LEO in Asia.
Thanks /k/!
