762 is a lot more fun to fire and has better effects downrange if you shoot anything reactive at all.
I have a 556 ak, and it DESTROYS my steel targets that do this to 54r. So that's another disadvantage.
Love it, just not quite as fun and I don't want to waste my good steel on it.
