So anyone ever been to Battlefield Vegas? anyone got some range stories? i'm curious because i'm headin there in a few weeks, I'd like to know what i should expect.
I've been to many ranges and i've shot a fair few guns, just never something full auto.
Pic related, s'what i'm mainly going there to shoot.

That's gotta be osan security forces during an exercise back in the day. I feel your pain.
T. Kunsan 05-06.
They need to clean their guns more. Hell I'd do it if they paid me in ammo. The MG42 jammed continuously but they were cool about it and let me shoot the RPD instead. Shot the uzi, m4, m60, mg42, pkm, rpd, m249, Thompson, 500 mag, 1919 and rpk.

I went there about a year ago. I shot 20 rounds of m60 and 40 rounds mg42 and it cost quite a bit. You will be treated like you have never seen a gun in your life, and they will actually put the full auto gun in a mount on the shooting bench. It's a very vanilla thing when it comes to shooting, but it's pretty fun shooting full fun guns

Go to pro gun club in boulder city instead. Outdoors. Lots of MGs. Why would anyone want to shoot a .50bmg at 25yrds when you can shoot at 1000?
I went this Nov. The MG42 jammed on every shot so they let me shoot the mg34 and it kept jamming too. They then let me shoot a British Bren instead for free.
Also shot a PPSH, m60 and Thompson. Very expensive came to around $200 for it all and waited an hour to shoot. Just took photos of their tanks and APCs outside while I waited.
I enjoyed it. Was great shooting an MG42, even if it was only for like 5 rounds every time.
Bren sucked. Should have picked something else maybe the PKM.

Forgot to mention the M60 was great. Had a nice cah-chunk cah-chunk feeling just like the movies. Do it, once in a life time. Then go to Frijoles for great mexican food.

They left me and my buddy alone with 3 mg's and let us have our fun but then again he knew we were in the military and weren't stupid. It was quite expensive though.
Right on, thanks for the stories + advice guys. i was thinking of shooting the MG42 or the 34 but now i think i'll pass.
>>33190936 that's also not a bad idea, i'll look into it for another trip, but yeah, i'm definitely not goin to shoot a 50 cal in an indoor range, not really any fun in that.
If you shoot the FA MP5SD and close your eyes when the gas starts burning them you're a giant pussy.

Gas blowback from suppressed guns is no joke anon. You'll probably tell us that shooting glasses and hearing protection are for pussies too.

>not counteracting the gas using 4 mouthfuls of urine in your eyes
>not just throwing a glob of neosporine in your ears
I can confirm what everybody else said. It's expensive and a long wait, but fun as fuck to go shoot historic mg's. Mg42 jammed a few times, guy got me some extra ammo for it. They pick you up at your hotel in a humvee which is kindof cool, if for nothing else, that you don't need to take a cab. A worthwhile part of any vegas trip imo, I wouldn't go to that madhouse without going to this madhouse of a range to shoot some god damn machine guns I can't touch in my cuck state.

This was my cart.

Hell, I'd clean them just for the fun of cleaning full auto guns, no payment required.
I wish I had gone to BFV when I was there. I went to The Gun Store and, while you get more bang for your buck, the selection isn't nearly as cool/diverse
Never been there, or heard of it but it looks amazing. Don't suppose anyone knows of a range like that on the east coast?

There used to be a club-run machine gun shoot in mass regularly. Then they put a 16yr old in charge of instructing a child with a mini-uzi. The recoil led the gun up to the kids head and he shot himself. That's how mass got rid of the NFA in their state. I was there the day before, it was a good time.

South of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Never been there, and I live in Washington county.
I went there when I was a kid, it was pretty good. I live in the northeast so I don't get to do much shooting.

>mass got rid of the NFA in their state
untrue

There's one in the Orlando area IIRC
How expensive would a range trip to this place/similar ranges in the US be?
I yearn to shoot an M16A1.
>>33195449
Yeah, Machine Gun America. They have more movie style guns, though.

Went there once; even got the T-shirt and spam email to prove it. It's OK if you can't get full-auto fun of your own, but it's really aimed toward the clueless tourist crowd like everything in Orlando. Actual /k/ommandos will probably be disappointed.
Its a tourist trap, do not go
