I plan on getting a rifle(unsure of brand and model) that shoots Winchester .300 magnum. What do you all think? Also where can I find a good scope with decent magnification without breaking the bank? Pic semi-related

What?
Who settles on a caliber before choosing a brand?

Someone who hunts or someone that has a host of other calibers and is looking for a specific feeling of a new round.
Vortex's Crossfire 2 scopes are the best for the money, pretty good quality plus lifetime warranty in case you break it for a little under $300

Buying a used rifle so I don't know the brand but nobody in my family owns .300 magnum
Get 6.5 instead

Check Amazon, sometimes you can find big name scopes for decent $. I found a weaver 6x for $160 because it was a discontinued model
