So I've got something outside that looks kind of like a dude but isn't leaving footprints. Right now I'm keeping a pistol cocked and locked on my person and I'm thinking it's slightly inadequate. If I make it out of this ok what should I grab for anti spoop HD and CC ( I have to be outside day or night a fair bit)

Battle rifle or 12ga with 3" or 3.5" magnum shells loaded with buckshot for home defense. Semi auto 10mm pistol for a carry weapon. I'll actually have to consider getting a 10, was looking at a magnum caliber revolver like a 454 but the extra capacity would be quite nice
