Any Illinois /k/ommandos? How long did you wait to get your CCL

Didn't apply yet. Don't want to go through all the stupid training that will make me learn bad habits. I really want to carry a gun around in public though.

Take the class. Just do it asap and get it over with is my advice.

I took the class this previous weekend. Didn't learn much. Instructor just went through the laws, scenarios, and such.

I was hoping he would go into Cooper's condition of carry for the noobs.

I only shot 30 rounds during the whole class which was for the shooting test.

Honestly the class is a joke. My instructor told us we should carry at least 5 extra mags lel.

What is a passing grade for the shooting test? I shot my first handgun last weekend and need some practice to hit COM every time.

Am 20 y/o (soon to be) former NH native and moving to Chi in a couple weeks for a new job, never owned cause family very liberal but have shot plenty of rifles and handguns with bros
interested in taking the class soon and getting a gun later

Any recommendations on where to take the class and things to know that'd make it easier on me?
