What are some good options for last ditch/under cover weapons for leo
Besides the department issued duty belt gear, what do you think you should have on you and/or in your car
Looks like you posted a pic. Compact secondary handgun and a blade.
If UC, nothing that'd scream "COP!" so whatever pistol you're finding most often on gang types and a cheap folding knife with a thumb stud or other way to get the blade open and into a dindu faster.
Last ditch uniformed officer gear, can't see it happening short of a zombie apocalypse so why bother? Spare pistol/rifle/SMG mags and shotgun shells in an easily assessable bag also containing a bunch of trauma dressings, flex cuffs, chem lights, and stuff to mark searched rooms, and secure/prop open doors for an active shooter kit.

Small guns
>ruger LCP
>kel tec .32 or .380
>seecamp
>sccy
>NAA revolver
>beretta bobcats
>maybe those tanfolgio .25's
For a last ditch type gun, revolvers are most likely going to be just too big.

llast ditch and under cover and different. for a back up id say a .38 snub, I dont usually fall for the jamoatic meme but ive seen a few little .380s and pocket 9mms fail to not want one as my last resort. At the very least theyre a bitch to shoot, unless you have a really good one and most only hold 5-7 rounds anyhow
for under cover go for something special snowflake, dont show up with a cops gun like a glock 19 or 22. Something that says pimp or drug dealer. Just my personal preference, but I dont think you get a wide range to choose from

glock 26 or 27 so you can share ammo with your sidearm. I might try the 43 but I dont know.
I know a few guys that have done under cover, they mostly just use their deparmtent issue stuff. You wont be getting into a bad boys shoot out or really see much action anyway. You might as well stick with something you know and trust
I know some people that carry odd things in their cars, stuff you wouldnt think of until you run into everyday problems as a first responder. Water bottles, a stuffed animal for a kid, dog treats to deal with any pets. I know a guy that carries bayer aspirin because it helped him save some old lady from a heart attack once. he never leaves without it
A cross draw IWB compact to complement your OWB full size.
Ruger LCR on ankle in case of a ground struggle.
Seecamp condition 3 in underwear in case of a nopants ambush.
If undercover I guess it depends on what you're pretending to be. Gotta fit in more than you need to be strapped. Probably a switchblade or some other shitty knife.
t. not a cop

a charter arms under cover seems to un-ironically fit the bill

no get glock 29
thumb daggers are awful. If I needed a backup blade it'd be something I can actually hold on to. Either finger grooves like the Minimalist or something covered in griptape that I can get at least two fingers and a thumb on.

if you want something really really small that is still shootable, get a ruger LCP custom (better trigger) and throw the 7 round mag in it so you have a bit more grip.
