Not very hard actually. For the lower I just had to file the back where it fits into the receiver ever so slightly. The upper I pretty much sandwiched between the retainer and rear sight block. It's held it securely for about 3 years now without it popping out while shooting.

That's not true at all. I've done both because I own some AK's but I also own guns that allow a cheek weld. The chin weld in an inherently less stable (for your head) shooting position. Your big ol noggin is perched up on top of the stock supported only by your chin with chin weld, versus your cheek pressed against the side of the stock with your jaw bone on top of it with cheek weld.
Cheek weld is universally accepted as more stable/comfortable.

Also, you basically just said Robski has never done a chin weld before. Come on dude.

I went with 50 yard zero for my 7.62x39 red dots. From 0 to 100 yards you end up with something like 2.5" of spread for your POI vs POA, and if you're going for a kill shot on a man sized paper target, that will get you in the ballpark.
Also since my eyes aren't what they used to be I don't plan on using my red dots out passed 100 yards unless the shit has absolutely hit the fan and it's basically end of times and every man for himself. (mainly because I don't have magnifiers for my red dots)

But that's just me, maybe you should do some experimenting with both setups and see which one you prefer.

Easier to disintegrate them with the x-full choke. Barely anything left if you shoot them relatively close. I'm using the x-full and fiocchi ammo which has a shot cup that refuses to open up and let the pellet disperse from my gun. So much fun when it holds together so tightly.

I ordered some stuff from russia and they hand wrote the 1's in my street address to look like 7's, so the delivery guy said "no such address" and put it in the 'return to sender' pile. The whole receiver is tempered. Friction drilling the holes serves literally no purpose and will anneal the steel around the trunnion holes. The impact forces of firing the rifle could cause these holes to egg out over time. Not to mention that it's a complete waste of effort considering that it looks like friction drilling is primarily used to increase the depth of sheet steel so you can tap threads in steel that would otherwise shallow. What is the point at all? Why are you so hung up on it? What's wrong with using a fucking drill bit?

Those aren't the only differences.
They're just different scopes. The Venezuela sits closer to the center line of the bore, where the PK-A is offset a bit to the left side.
Functionally they're very much the same. You turn it on and you get a blob of a red dot. I love my pk-a and my venezuela but the dots are not precise. They have a lot of brightness control so crank it all the way up in bright daylight, and down very low at night/dusk.
They're a bit heavy for what they are but they're durable as hell.
