Sup /k/ikes? I just took this PSA I recently built to the range today. This is the first AR I've ever built/shot/owned and I have a few questions.
How important is it completely take down and clean the BCG after a single range visit? I'm used to cleaning AKs, and this seems like way more of a hassle.
Also, I bought a 100rnd box of federal 55grn fmj to take to the range. And about 3- 4 of the rounds wouldn't go off. Is it normal for newly built a PSA to have light primer strikes? or is it more likely that they were just hard primers?
I've bought bulk 100pks of 9mm and 7.62x39 before and I've never had this issue before. I'm not sure whether to feel iffy about the rifle or the ammo. But as it sits right now I don't really trust the rifle with my life. Plz halp.

Hardly.

Make sure you didn't install the hammer spring upside down.

hard to say. the only time thats ever happened to me was the very first shot out of my rifle when i first built it. like anon before said, probably put the hammer spring on backwards.
also get buis, a sling and put that dot on a mount.

Bump. I've just built mine here. It's the first firearm I officially own. I haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet though.
