what's your favorite revolver, /k/?
i've got a pre-lock 686 and i'm kinda partial to it
also, what did you have for lunch?

S&W Model 17 Masterpiece.
you have an alcohol problem mate.
>>33105395
i know, i didn't fill that glass enough for the pic.
>>33105289
I have a pre lock 5 inch barrel model 57 s&w. the 41 mag is ungodly pleasant to shoot.
>>33105542
how hard is it to find ammo for that?
i've been kinda looking at getting a model 29 but i really like the idea of a .41mag
I only have one revolver; my 6.5" .357MAG Ruger New Model Blackhawk.
I had a gyro, an apple, and some 6-bean soup for lunch.
>>33105557
ammo is actually way easy to find. dont let other people tell you otherwise because they dont own one. the 41 mag has virtually the same ballistics as 44 doing the same damage but with less recoil. if you can find a pre lock model 57 id say grab that shit and run. you can buy underpowered cowboy loads for plinking or you can buy the 195 hornady personal protection loads that will knock you on your ass. its a great gunn and shoots like a fucking dream.
>>33105557
also a calzone from mellow mushroom graces my palate.
>>33105585
i'm familiar with the ballistics, i just never looked for ammo. was wondering if it's something you can walk into a gun shop and buy.
i live in cook county. can't have ammo shipped to me.
>>33105289
My favorite Revolver is the 686 Plus w/ 3" barrel. It has the lock but I haven't had any issues with it.
>>33105289
I've only got three revolvers, an 80's vintage Charter Arms Off-Duty, a Lady Smith 642, and a Model 10-10.
Gosh, I like them all.
The J- and K- frames are God's gift to the .38 Special cartridge.
>>33105609
cook county what state?
and yes the ammo is available at just about any shop including big box store.
>>33105708
cook county IL, as in chicago
>>33105741
ah ok. should be plenty available.

>41 mag has virtually the same ballistics as 44
Forreal? I thought it had a higher velocity, and therefore a flatter trajectory, but at the cost of lower projectile weights and therefore a net loss of power.
I don't own one, yet, but I want to. What are the real-world capabilities of the cartridge?
>>33106017
it is a flatter trajectory buy power is the same minus about 50 fps and such. In terms of wound cavity and penetration it replicates 44 performance
Smith and Wesson Governor shooting 2 1/2" Federal Defense loads in 4 shot.

My Webley Mk VI (1915 production) is my only revolver.
It's also the handgun I do best with.
Would I be disappointed if I bought something in .357?
No Rugers or SAAs though.
Just not even gonna bother.
Also, I had a few slices of board head oven gold roasted turkey breast pan seared and shredded and put between two slices of bread and some boars head black wax cheddar.
I had a small glass of Coca Cola to drink.
