Canik makes some pretty good, affordable, options.
A lot of people will shit on them because "hurr durr funding terrorism," but the fact of the matter is is that they're damn good pistols. They can take a beating, reliable, can feed any ammo without hangups, and feel great in the hand.

I own multiple Glocks. I also own multiple Sd(9) and (40) VEs. The VE is pushed because it's a cheaper Glock. I have over 10k rounds of cheapo ammo through mine and the only F2F were because of dud rounds. I went 3k without cleaning my sd40 and it still functioned perfectly. There is no reason to hate it.

Sorry I should have clarified. I'm not agreeing that they are better, just that it could be argued if you really wanted to go there that maybe they are just as good if not better.

To me, I think the reason people hate on the Glock so much is because it's "boring" to shoot, or it's not stylish etc etc,

I could even understand all the hate against the fan base, but when they're right about it all, that it's not expensive, reliable, tons of aftermarket, hi cap mags like the 33 round mag, versatile (Glock 26 can take 19 and 17 mags), etc etc. I just don't see the issue.
Maybe if you pay 1k+ you could find a better gun, but it'd only be because maybe you don't like the grip or something.

Define "Better". I really hate this rank bullshit that people have been doing for the last 10 or so years. We live in the modern era. Handguns, by and large(And this is a wide generalization), are more or less equally reliable. The ones that aren't(RP9, for example) are quickly found out about.

If a handgun checks off the following things, it really boils down to personal preference

>Is it reliable? Does it feed ammunition?
>Is it CONSISTENT. Working all of the time with one kind of ammo but not with what you carry isn't consistent.
>Is it made of high quality materials and won't break from normal use?
>Is it accurate? Can you(Or anyone) hit what you're aiming at?

By and large most of the handgun owning public will not go through the "Torture test" shit that people do. It's nice to have to point to, but most handguns boil down to three things: Caliber preference, Size, weight and ergonomics, and capacity.

Pick what you want so as long as it works.

Umm, wrong. If you check slickguns, the P320C is currently $460. Walther PPQ M1 can be had for $480 currently. Both of those are cheaper than any deal currently available for the Glock 19 G4 (or the G3 for that matter).

Having a personal preference is fine and good. I personally prefer Beretta. But to work yourself into disliking a solid series and calling it a meme is just silly.
I'll say straight up that I went in and bought my first few XD/Ms thinking they were Glock ripoff crap. Turns out I was half correct. They were Glock ripoffs initially. But they sure as shit weren't crap lol.
If anyone can show me a timestamped picture that they own an XD or XDM and still say they hate it, I'll believe for a second that they aren't just fangirling themselves into a meme.
