I think Brazil has a pretty decent military actually but it needs to get its priorities straight. Your country is riddled with crime and drugs like every other South American shithole. You have an aircraft carrier and shit like tanks for no good fucking reason. The United States essentially guarantees your safety from countries outside of the Americas and Brazil emerged victorious in pretty much all of her territorial claims that you have a right to and therefore have no more need for new territory.

You, like many South American countries, need to reform your entire military in a paramilitary peace-keeping force.
For the price of maintaining that fucking aircraft carrier you could buy a thousand patrol boats to go up and down your countless river systems and estuaries hunting down gangs and insurgents.
For the price of all those Gripens you're ordering you could get like 200 more Super Tucanos or just patrol helicopters to help crack down on crime.
For the price of the Leopard 1s you guys are operating you could invest in dozens more APCs and other vehicles that are more apt to urban operations against favela gangs and shit like that.

Don't get me wrong, you don't need to completely cuck yourself. It's always nice to be ready. But many South American countries really overestimate their need for this shit. Brazil's military is already immensely stronger than all of your neighbors. Your country needs police, not soldiers.
