help me /k/ you're my only hope
I want to get a vz 58 for my first gun (in Canada). but I feel like I don't have enough knowledge to simply just buy a vz 58 from some online shop or something.
so drop anything you know about the platform and what companies are good to go.
Since you're in Canadia you probably don't have to worry about looking over a century vz2008 before you buy it, although those do have a fix for the vz gremlin.

Canada doesn't have any weird import laws besides bans on specific firearms.
Yours is Czech made. You should be good to go.

If it was imported from czech republic, it should be good to go. It's my favorite rifle I've ever held personally.
I'm torn between whether a vz58 or sks would be a better rifle for your country with the 5rd mag restrictions.
I have both, love both. But the vz58 is a lot easier to take apart and easier to clean all around. It's basically a heavily upgraded sks in a lot of ways.

will it say if the firearm is Czech made?

Not sure if Czechpoint ships to CA but i guess you could call 'em and ask.

Just buy a CSA made VZ58 if you manage to find one. They're all great quality. It's the same gun I got first. Super simple to disassemble, even easier than the SKS, and shoots like a dream.
Get one from tradexcanada

It will have Czech Small Arms on it.

Westrifle will have domestically made ones avalable shortly.
Not much more than people are selling used Czech ones fro.
