Guy I know bought an AR a few weeks ago (new). He somehow fucked it up and I'm at a loss.
Says he was shooting, everything went fine, he cleaned it, then went shooting again and the casings were fucked up (pic related)
What did he do?
its just new gun stuff needing breaking in. If you reload some sizing dyes will clear that up with no problem.
bump?
Maybe the BCG is slamming back too soon and chewing up the brass as it's trying to exit the firearm.
Try putting a heavier buffer in the stock, or a less hot ammo.
Curious what could have changed. Adjustable gas block?

Definitely seems like the casings aren't ejecting at the right time and ride with the bolt back into battery.
OP check your bolt and make sure the extractor and ejector are in good shape.

This happens when you don't have enough magpul on the gun.

Why do the rifle and carbine extender look different?
