P-47, because not only was it superior an almost every way to most other prop fighters of its era, it also did most of the leg work in europe, and a lot in the pacific.

The Super Tucano is a turbo-prop powered aircraft. Sure, the thrust mostly comes from the prop, but the power comes from a turbine engine.

WW2 aircraft were powered by piston engines, like the Merlin.
