Hello /k/!
Eurostan nofun here.
My buddy from law enforcement, which uses the Beretta 92FS, said that one uses the area market in red to put the index finger from the supporting hand on it.
Is that true?
That's a thing people have been known to do. Whats you're point?

You can. Personal preference. For me it just makes me more likely to pull one way or the other when I shoot.
>>33070288
Yes but that's a dinosaur age technique that hasn't been used in decades
It's also very uncomfortable

this, might as well revert to a weaver stance while you're at it
>>33070416
weaver is fine you poopy face.
>>33070295
Not really making a point, but it seems a very good grip to me.
I always thought it was meant for resting your shooting finger, because I have long fingers and I can use it as a rest.

It was a thing widely taught in the 80s.
But apparently the competition guys found that it made their gun torque more when they pulled the trigger.

This.
I've been taught weaver stance myself and tried other stances, but always went back to weaver.

Weaver is fine for static shooting, but try doing any dynamic shooting with it
