Can we have a "different but useful" thread?
Basically a thread for guns that did things a little different but weren't completely useless.
>Chiappa Rhino, along with a few other revolvers designed by the same person, have a 6'o'clock bore axis design that reduces the amount of upward recoil

Here's an example of how to be different but useless.
So not this.
>>33067251
What's different about it?
>>33067217
you know this is just going to turn into one of these threads, don't you?
>>33067304
A thread of bad photoshops?

That's a weird way to say Glock.
>>33067317
yes. soon there will be a lot these

What's the purpose of the square slide, anyways?

Today? Let's the RMR sit on it nicely. Personally. I just think it looks aestethicc as fuck too. Probably also ease of manufacturing. Pic related, the Glock is just a better and more perty.

it's better for overhand manipulations

I'm sure it's nearly 100% this. Making shit cheap is king these days.

Yep, less to mill away from a piece of bar stock

It's also weight minimization. A 1911esque dome wouldnt be hard to make, in fact, it's one of the easiest thing to machine. But then you'd have a lot of wasted material on the top and would compromise the extractor plunger channel.

I love muh Rhino. Anybody wanna suggest a good quality vertical shoulder rig for it? I think it'll make a great alt CCW.

I wonder if there are any pistols that take the same cue and put the barrel below the guide rod/recoil spring.

There are some that use a blow-forward mechanic, but I don't think any of them were successful, but I might be wrong about that.
Here's one.
Differnent, because 1911 chambered in 22 made out of zinc alloy.
Not useless because still super fun to blast things with it.
