I'm about to ETS in a week or two and I am filled with heartbreak.
Any other milfagsl just really disappointed with the level of training you received?
All of the correspondence and JKO classes, all of the field problems, field manuals, all of it... There was so little I learned in the Army that I didn't have to dig up myself. NCOs rarely know shit about actual soldiering skills.
Im starting to feel that all of this was a joke.

I was medically retired in 2012. The best advice I can give you is that the military can define you or be a small bullet on your advancing resume. The GI Bill paired with leadership experience can really give you a strong civilian foundation. After leaving the military I quickly earned an AS, BA, and MA and locked down some pretty solid employment opportunities.
Go to school, retain the positive aspects of the military, and make something of yourself.
Good luck my man.

I like my NCOs for this actually
Mine are helpful and all experienced, I had to learn on my own time to time but I feel that's what makes one a good Soldier
Take advantage of the GI bill, go to school, take what you can from the experience and move on man
>TFW i have 2 years out of 6 left
