Hey fellas, is there something wrong with this bore? I've scrubbed the shit out of it and the patches are coming out spotless, but it still looks like this.
All my other handguns have smooth and shiny bores after cleaning them but they were all given to me, this is my first one I've bought on my own and I'm wondering why it looks like this. Do all new bores look like this after cleaning and they smooth out after shooting, or did I get a shitty barrel?
If it matters it's for a Desert Eagle 50ae

Oh and just for the record, the left picture is taken from the chamber side and the front is taken from the muzzle.

Is it used, is it old, how long between cleanings, do you live where it's humid, did you use any solvents?

It's brand new, never shot it. I'm in the pacific NW so it's a little humid but I just ordered it in last week and it came in a couple of days ago. MC #7 bore cleaner

Is it an American Desert Eagle? The American Deagles have a rougher looking bore compared to their Israeli brethren. The American Deagles often have finely finished exteriors but rougher appearing internals and bores. The Israeli Deagles often have visible machining on the exteriors but the bore and internal surfaces are finished to a mirror shine.

Thanks anon but there didn't really seem to be a definitive answer in there. One guy said that it'd smooth out after shooting it a bit but he didn't get any seconds.

It is indeed American. I'm not so much worried about it so long as it doesn't affect performance. I'm not a competition shooter or anything, but ya pay that much for a gun and I kinda want it to be as good as possible, you know?

I understand completely but I wouldn't worry in the least. They're all like that. My American .50AE bore looks identical to yours. In my five years of ownership and about 1000 rounds of factory and reloaded ammunition the bore hasn't gotten any better or worse and accuracy is still top notch. The main disadvantage is they don't come clean as easily as the mirror like Israeli bores.

Alright thanks, I do feel a little better now. I'd still like some other experiences/opinions though.

>owns a Deagle brand Deagle
Try loading it and putting it against your temple, then pulling the trigger.

>It's brand new
New as in came in a box new or behind the counter new?
>>33055021
deagles are polygonal rifling so no, it's just got shit in it
Take Hoppes solvent and run a patch or mop down it a few times
